Maintain Figure – Healthy Weight Loss Tips

We gain weight because we eat too much or exercise too little, or both. Losing weight means changing these old habits, which is almost impossible unless we have a strong incentive. Most dieters don’t have a proper incentive, so they spend years dieting and end up more overweight than ever.

Here are the some beneficial tips to loss weight and lead a better healthy lifestyle:

Drink A LOT of water. This is one of the most essential components of your diet plan. One glass of water every hour would do wonders to your body. It helps you eat lesser without making you feel hungry. The large amount of water intake also flushes out all the unwanted waste in your body and helps in digestion too. Drink atleast two to three litres of water daily.

Eat More Fruits, Vegetables and Whole Grains.

People who eat healthy, mostly unprocessed foods, including fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and limited amounts of lean animal protein, often find that they can eat as much as they want without gaining weight. If they are switching from a diet containing lots of processed foods, they find that they can eat more yet consume fewer calories — and they lose weight.
Choose low-fat milk instead of whole milk with your cereal and when cooking.
Have some snacks every 4 hours. You could have any snack: Oranges, Apples, Chips, String Cheese, Pretzels etc. Eat anything you want (in small quantities), just make sure you have something in your stomach at all times, you shouldn’t feel hungry.

Go for the Grain. By substituting whole grains for refined grains like white bread, cakes, cookies, and pretzels, you add much-needed fiber and will fill up faster so you’re more likely to eat a reasonable portion. Choose whole-wheat breads and pastas, brown rice, bran flakes, popcorn, and whole-rye crackers.

You can maintain good health. But you must intricate discipline and dedication in your life. While exercising definitely increases the caloric burning process and eventually causes a person to lose weight, the basic principal still stands; you must burn more calories than you consume in order to lose weight. A good balance between diet and exercise will aid weight loss, and make the process easier over an extended period of time.

Don’t cut out all the food you enjoy. I like the occasional takeaway, but now I save up calories to have one or earn it. If I restricted myself to just fruit and veg I’d give up very quickly. I also found that I could still eat my favourite foods if I ‘tweak’ them a bit: low fat cheese, low fat spread instead of butter, light mozzarella etc. Also the best thing I did was get olive oil spray.

Increase your protein intake. Without protein your body cannot build new muscle. Protein also helps to increase your metabolism – which burns calories.
